Admission: Scoring above 9 CGPA in every semester at this college is pretty doable since it's autonomous. The faculty here is super helpful and really gets us ready for exams. Sometimes they throw in surprise tests that count towards our grades. It's a big help!
Placement: I'm a student at Heritage Institute of Technology, and I'm happy to say that around 80% of us landed on-campus jobs this year. Companies like TCS, IBM, and Cognizant come to our college for placements. The average salary package offered this year is about 4 LPA. Great opportunities here!
Campus: Our college has great sports facilities and a top-notch library. The facilities here are really good, especially the canteen which has a nice setup. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers are really good, especially the Math teacher. The course is okay, but it's not enough to prepare us for real-world jobs. We need more practical lessons and regular exams to practice. The semester exams are challenging, and we need at least 50% to pass.
Placement: Around 40% of us in my course landed jobs. The pay ranged from 3.36 LPA to 12 LPA, with an average of 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini usually hire us, even though none are specifically for our course. No one from our course got an internship on campus, and we don't have info on off-campus internships. One person got a cool senior analyst gig at Capgemini, which is a top role there.
Campus: The college buildings are okay, but there are only three for us B.Tech students. My department doesn't have a specific building or floor, so I have to move around for classes. The library is nice, with Wi-Fi available. Unfortunately, there's no hostel for guys, only for girls. The canteen serves below-average food, though.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful. They give us their contact info to help us out. Some teachers can be a bit rude, but most of them are cool. The courses are similar to those at NIT Agartala. Exams are tough, so we need to study hard.
Placement: There aren't as many placement opportunities here compared to other top colleges like IITs, NITs, and IIITs. Big companies like Google and Microsoft don't recruit from here. TCS is the main recruiter, but some other companies offer 9 LPA. Most students end up in TCS with a 3.5 LPA package.
Campus: The classrooms are nice, and the labs have all the stuff we need. The library is awesome, tons of books and WiFi. No boys' hostel on campus, but two good hostels for girls. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers are usually pretty helpful. I found it pretty easy to do well in the exams. Lately, some departments are being strict about attendance. The syllabus could use some updating to match industry standards better.
Placement: The placements this year aren't great. Most students are getting offers between 5 to 6 LPA. Not many big companies are coming for placements. It's a bit better than last year, but still not awesome. It's hard to find internships, but you can find some off-campus. Almost everyone gets a job by the end of the 4th year, though.
Campus: The campus at this college is top-notch compared to other private colleges in Kolkata. The labs are really cool with AC, and some classes even have AC too. The campus looks great with nice decorations. But, the hostel is only for girls, guys don't have that option. It's a bit far from the busy city area.

Admission: The teachers are really helpful in certain subjects, but you can always turn to seniors for help too. The course content is a little outdated, but it still applies to real-life stuff. You might need to do a lot of self-study. The exams each semester can be quite challenging. You need at least 34% to pass.
Placement: Most students end up getting a job, which is cool. The salary range goes from 3 to 11 LPA. Big companies like TCS, Wipro, and others come for placements. To get internships, just apply online.
Campus: The course lasts for four years. It's pretty good, but you might need help from the teachers to understand everything. I opted for a private hostel instead of the college one. The rules are similar in both places. College life is fun and you can have a great time on the campus.

Admission: The teachers are alright. Some get where we're coming from, others not so much. Exams are tough but well-organized. The course is practical and good for internships. Semester tests can be challenging, but if you know past questions, you can score well.
Placement: Most students land a job every year, about 90%. The highest salary tends to be around 14 LPA, while the lowest is usually between 2-3 LPA. On average, people make around 4-5 LPA. Companies like TCS and Infosys often hire students, mostly for sales roles nowadays. Many students also do internships, but not all of them are through the college.
Campus: The infrastructure here is not great. Computers freeze, mice stop working, and there are other issues too. The Wi-Fi speed is alright. The labs are kept in good condition. But the classrooms don't have air conditioning. Girls have a hostel, but boys don't. Boys can find PGs, flats, or private hostels nearby that you can get to by auto.

Admission: I'm a freshman here and I gotta say, the teachers really know their stuff. They've been around forever and most of them have Ph.D.s or Master's degrees. The first year has some random subjects like Mechanical, ED, and Physics, but it gets better in the second year. The courses aren't super current, but they're not ancient either. The semester exams are okay, set by MAKAUT at an average level.
Placement: The CSE placements at HIT this year were pretty good. Lots of big companies came, offering around 7-8 LPA on average. The highest off-campus package was 1.17 CPA. Around 80% of CSE students got placed, which is better than before. For internships, companies like Microsoft, Amazon AWS, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and others visited our college. Some seniors even got internships at ISI, ISIPR, and a few did the Google Summer of Code.
Campus: The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, a regular library, and a digital one too. There are different classrooms with and without AC, plus labs for different subjects like Physics, ECE, Chemistry, and more. Only girls have a hostel on campus, while guys stay outside. You can grab snacks at the canteen. And there are awesome sports areas for tennis, cricket, basketball, and more, each with their own coach.

Admission: The teachers here are really smart. Some of them even studied in the USA and UK. They know their stuff and are always there to help. The education quality is good. They push us to do research. Plus, we get to go on industry visits which help us get ready for working. Exams are not too hard, you just need a 6 SGPA to pass.
Placement: Chemical Engineering at this college is awesome. There are lots of opportunities in this field here. The highest package this year was 25 LPA off campus and 12 LPA on campus. But for chemical engineering, the highest package was 6 LPA.
Campus: The college has free Wi-Fi, which is great. The lab has modern equipment and the lab technicians work hard. The canteen serves really good food at affordable prices. The classrooms are spacious and there's a library with AC where you can study until 8 PM. They also provide semester books. Overall, it's a good place to study.

Admission: I think most of the teachers are awesome and really helpful. They give good notes for exams and previous year questions. But there are a few teachers who aren't as helpful. The exams and the course structure are well-organized, making it easier to get good grades at the end of the semester.
Placement: The job placements at Heritage Institute of Technology are pretty good. TCS hires a lot of students from our college. Overall, around 80% of students get placed with an average salary of 4-5 LPA. For popular branches like CSE, IT, ECE, and related branches of CSE, the placement rate is even higher at around 90% or more, with an average salary of 6-7 LPA.
Campus: The college has good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available on every floor and students can easily use it. There's a central library where we can study and relax. Plus, we have two canteens - the main one and a smaller one for staff. The food in both canteens is pretty good.

Admission: The teachers here are really good. They're experienced and know their stuff. They're always there to help us out whenever we need it. We have a mid-term exam every year, except for the first year. The semester exams are not too hard as long as you pay attention in class.
Placement: Most students here get placed every year, around 80% or more. The average salary is 4 LPA, with the highest being 20 LPA. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro are big recruiters. In the third year, most students aim for internships, and a good number of them land one. Placements are alright, not amazing but decent.
Campus: The campus has good facilities for all departments, with labs tailored to each. The girls' hostel is on campus, while the boys' hostel is about 2-3 kilometers away. The food is pretty good too.
