Admission: The professors here are really nice and supportive. Most of them teach well, but some are a bit tough. The courses we take are super practical and will be useful later on. Exams are not too hard if you study at least a week before. Paying attention in class is key!

Placement: I graduated in 2024 and almost 70% of us got jobs after college. In the Civil Department, the average salary is around 10.5 LPA. Companies like Intel, Zomato, Microsoft, and Infosys hire a lot of students. Some lucky ones even got a 30 LPA offer! The lowest offer was 5.5 LPA. Around 30 of us students took part in the job placements.

Campus: The school has a cool infrastructure for labs. There are three types of classrooms: small, medium, and large. All have AC which is nice. There's a big library in the main building. The hostel is super clean and the mess food is good too.

Admission: The courses at IIT Bhubaneswar cover a lot of subjects, and the teachers are all Ph.D. holders. They ask us for feedback on classes and teachers. We have exams two times in one semester. A semester lasts around 4 months. After 2 months, we have mid-semester exams. At the end of the semester, there are final exams.

Placement: After COVID, it's been tough to get placements because companies aren't hiring as much. Over 30% of students in our batch still need jobs. The highest package is 55 LPA, and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Less than half the class got internships on campus. Many of us have to look for internships off campus or do research instead.

Campus: The hostels are well-kept and clean. The food in the mess isn't great - it's just okay, not very tasty. We end up eating pickles and other long-lasting stuff a lot. The campus is pretty, but there aren't many big trees, so summers get really hot.

Admission: The teachers here are really nice and super qualified with Ph.D. and doctorate degrees. They're great at clearing up our doubts. In the lab, some of the teachers are government employees and the TAs help out too, but they're not always the best at answering every question. The Civil course at this IIT isn't amazing, but it's okay. The curriculum really prepares us for the industry and we have two semester exams - one in the middle and one at the end. We also have class tests and quizzes in between. And don't forget about the lab exams - we have those too!

Placement: I checked with older students about job placements and salaries. Our college doesn't have a specific placement office. On average, civil engineering students get around 19 LPA, while overall campus placements average around 23 LPA. About 85% of civil engineering students and 77% overall get placed. Big companies like Intel, Microsoft, Infosys, and Zomato hire from here. Students with over 83% usually land internships. Some even get placed at HCC (Hindustan Contractions Company). Fun fact: one of our seniors actually founded Rapido!

Campus: The campus facilities are okay, not great. The Civil course professors are good, and the block is nice. The labs have old equipment, and the classrooms have benches with chairs, three boards, and a clock. The library has lots of books and a study room. Hostel food is good three days a week, but not so great the other days. The canteen food is yummy, and we have good medical facilities. We also participate in inter-IIT and GCs.

Admission: The professors here are all good, but some act like they know everything. They teach well and are interactive. Some even invite us to their offices for help. If you study 15 days before exams, you'll be fine they're not too hard.

Placement: Last year, my seniors told me that not many students in my branch got placed in 2024. They said about 60% of us found jobs. The highest pay was 20 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. This year, the placement situation has improved a bit, but civil engineering still struggles with placements. Not many civil students get internships, and a lot of seniors switched to CSE for better job opportunities.

Campus: The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere in rooms, corridors, and learning halls. Each classroom has AC too. There's a hospital called Sanjeevan that's open 24/7, plus an Apollo Pharmacy. And don't forget about the canteen, both inside and outside the hostel. It's pretty convenient!

Admission: The teachers at this college are awesome! They really know their stuff and are always there to help. The courses they teach are spot on and super useful. I think they could tweak the curriculum a bit to better prepare us for the industry. It would be great if they started diving into the main subjects right from the beginning of the course. That way, we'd have more time to really master everything.

Placement: I'm studying electrical engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar. Last year, most students in EE got jobs. The pay is between 6 to 67 LPA, with an average of 12 LPA. Tata Steel, JLR, and Accenture are top companies hiring. About 40% of us got internships at places like Accenture and JSPL. Popular roles include SDE, GET, and MT.

Campus: Our college is still growing, lots happening at once. We have 3 big lecture halls, 2 are open. Each department has its own school with labs. The library has 25,600 books and we can access 60 million E-books online. Every student gets their own room. Wi-Fi and LAN work all day. The food in the mess is good, 4 meals a day. We have a health center and doctors come regularly. Good sports facilities too.

Admission: The exams are pretty easy and the teachers are great. What we learn in class is what shows up on the tests. The teachers are awesome, encouraging, and super smart. Your attendance has to be at least 75% to write the exams, but the pass rate isn't a big deal. The teachers are really supportive and helpful.

Placement: The placements here are okay. Big companies such as Amazon and Google visit for CS students. But you might need to search for off-campus placements too. Many students go for non-core placements. The salary package usually ranges from 3.5 LPA to 10 LPA.

Campus: The campus here is huge and really nice. There's great infrastructure all around. The food at the mess is good too. If you're into sports, the SAC area is where you wanna be they've got everything you need. And the library is massive, with tons of books to choose from. It's all pretty awesome here.

Admission: I finished the course in two years, which is like four quarters. Electives started in the third semester. The course stuff was interesting but tiring. Thanks to the teachers and mentors, I got good at differential analysis. Our class had around 40-50 students, which made it better. We had homework every week for practice. The course cost INR 35,000 per year.

Placement: Most MSc. students end up teaching, but some get job offers from companies on campus too. Some big companies that come for placements are GAIL, CDAC, TRAI, REC, Goldman Sachs, GE India, Amazon, Honeywell, Tata Steel, Jaguar Land Rover, Adobe, and Vedanta. The highest salary offered was Rs. 49 LPA per week.

Campus: The hostel rooms are for one person only. Each room has a bed, chair, table, fan, tubelight, three sockets, and a balcony with a nice view. You get the hostel when you join any course, and the food at the mess is usually pretty good.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and supportive. The course content is spot-on for getting us ready for the industry. The semester exams are tough, but a lot of students manage to pass. Overall, the teaching quality is top-notch at this college.

Placement: A lot of MSc. grads end up teaching. Big companies like Vedanta, Amazon, Honeywell, Tata Steel, Jaguar Land Rover, Adobe, GE India, GAIL, CDAC, TRAI, REC, Goldman Sachs, and Amazon come to hire here. Every IIT student dreams of being part of the IIT posting week. Both international and Indian companies come to hire students on campus. The highest salary offered was around 49 LPA.

Campus: The college's facilities keep improving. They have two Nescafes, a commercial center, auditorium, lecture halls, a student activity center, and sports areas for basketball, volleyball, soccer, cricket, lawn tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The food at the mess isn't great, and the hostel staff can be stubborn. There aren't many food options available on campus.

Admission: The exams are pretty straightforward and the teachers are super supportive. They help us out a lot. What we learn in class usually shows up on the tests. The semester exams aren't too hard either. Just need to make sure to attend at least 75% of classes to be able to take the exams.

Placement: Placement is okay. Computer science students mostly get good placements. Other branches don't have as many opportunities. We often have to search for jobs off-campus. Companies like Amazon visit our college for hiring.

Campus: The campus has great facilities with cool buildings and a huge library full of books. The food in the mess is decent, not amazing but not terrible either. Wi-Fi is always on, even in the hostels which is awesome.

Admission: The teachers here are really good at what they do. They make sure everyone joins in during classes. The PDP talks are great too, they help boost your confidence a lot.

Placement: Students can apply for campus placements after the 7th or 10th semester. Companies like Tata, Amazon, Birla, and Zomato come for placements. About twenty percent of students get placed. I'm thinking of doing an M.Tech after my B.Tech.

Campus: The college has three big fests every year: Alma Fiesta, Wissenaire, and the Entrepreneurship Fest. They happen in March, and students from all colleges in Bhubaneswar come. Each fest has a DJ night with cool artists.
