Admission: The teachers here are really smart. They all have Ph.D.s and know their stuff well. They're also super nice. The course material is useful and matches what we need to know. Your chances of passing depend on who's teaching you. The semester tests cover what the teachers go over in class. If you go to class and stay on top of your work, you'll do fine in the exams.

Placement: Most students in my department get placed, around 75%. The highest salary offered is 2.1 crores, while the lowest is 10 LPA. Amazon, Google, BlackRock, Microsoft, and other big companies hire students from my course. Many students also get internships with top companies like Amazon, Google, Texas, and Nvidia.

Campus: I really like IIT Kharagpur. The campus is super pretty and there's Wi-Fi everywhere. The library is huge. The food isn't my favorite, but the canteen, medical help, and hostel rooms are nice. Lots of open spaces and three big stadiums for sports.

Admission: The teachers here know their stuff. They're super helpful and always there to explain things. The exams are tough, with tricky questions that need more time to figure out.

Placement: I'm studying M.Tech in communication and signal processing. Seniors in my course have already started getting job offers. 7 out of 20 students got placed, and the rest are waiting for the next round. The highest salary offered on-campus is 50 LPA, while the lowest is 15 LPA off-campus.

Campus: The hostel here is pretty good. They organize outings 24x7 and there's even a night canteen. The labs are open round the clock, which is super helpful for research work. They also have a yearly championship. The food is okay, but personally, I'm not a fan of it being less salty.

Admission: The teachers know their stuff, but not all of them seem super into teaching. Some just go through the motions in class. The exams are fair and not too hard.

Placement: The placements this year were good, but not as great as we hoped. Many students got placed, but the average salary dropped compared to last year. In my course, the highest salary offered was around 70 lakhs per year, and the lowest was about 10 lakhs per year for Indian companies. I'm not sure about the salaries for students placed abroad. Most students got jobs in areas like product development, data science, and software development, not in their core field. Companies like Jaguar and Land Rover hired the most students. About half of us got internships on campus.

Campus: The hostels here are pretty good. Some of the new ones are really nice with good facilities. The food in the hostels varies depending on where you stay. Overall, the food is decent, but some hostels have average mess food. Each hostel has Wi-Fi, a canteen, vending machines, sports grounds, a gym, a music room, and more. As for my course, it's a bit tough and not super easy to get high grades. You have to put in some effort to get decent grades.

Admission: The teachers are really smart with Ph.Ds and lots of teaching experience. They know their stuff and are mostly helpful. The course content is up-to-date, including AI and ML in 2024. The exams can be tough, depending on the subject and the teacher. Some teachers base their exams on a specific book, while others don't. But overall, you'll probably pass.

Placement: The placements at IIT Kharagpur are really good. Many companies come to our campus every year. They hire students for different jobs like software, finance, business, and engineering. Some of the roles they offer are SDE, data analyst, and consultant. Our college also helps us get internships. Companies visit for intern roles like data analyst, associate consultant, PM intern, and SDE.

Campus: Our college is great for my course. The labs have everything we need. The classrooms are nice with blackboards and projectors. They're big too. The hostels are good with lots of options, from single to triple sharing. I'm in charge of Nehru Hall and we have both types of rooms. The single rooms in Nehru are amazing, seriously top-notch. The food in the mess is usually good, but it depends on who's cooking.

Admission: The teachers here are really knowledgeable and have a lot of experience. They're top-notch compared to other colleges in India. The courses are diverse and cover a wide range of subjects. One cool thing is that you get to explore different areas of study, like learning about consulting during engineering.

Placement: I'm in the Mechanical Engineering department, and my branch is just okay. It's pretty much the same as the regular Mechanical branch. But the good thing is, the workload is lighter here than in other branches, and the class size is just right.

Campus: The campus has everything we need. Wi-Fi is good all over, with fast speed and no delays. But the food at the hostel and mess is terrible. It's a shame that IIT Kharagpur can't serve students well-cooked meals.

Admission: The teachers really know their stuff and are great at teaching. The course covers what we need to know, but it doesn't quite prepare us for the real world. The semester exam was tough, with only 40% of students passing in all subjects.

Placement: A lot of students from my course end up getting jobs, around 88%. The salary packages range from 4 to 12 Lacs per year. Big companies like Zebronics and Wipro offer internships to students. Top companies also hire students from my course.

Campus: The facilities in my department are awesome. We have Wi-Fi, classrooms, and a library. The hostel is really nice too. The food in college isn't that great, though. They've got medical and sports facilities here too.

Admission: Most teachers are great, but there are a few who aren't that good. The classes are tough as we move forward in our program. Exams are hard too and need a lot of studying. I think by the start of the 2nd year, students should decide on their career path and start working towards it. Luckily, there's plenty of support on campus from friends, teachers, and older students.

Placement: The placement options in our department depend on what we're into. For core placements, only a few companies come and they're pretty picky. But for non-core placements, there are lots of chances if we have the skills and good grades.

Campus: The classrooms and labs on campus are really great. The quality of hostels and food in the mess depends on which hall you're in. Most halls serve good food, especially for girls. There are lots of amenities in the halls like table tennis, badminton, football, and cricket for students to relax and have fun.

Admission: The teachers here are super smart all of them have Ph.Ds and tons of teaching experience. They really know their stuff and most of them are really nice and helpful. The course content is spot on. They even updated it for our batch in 2024 to include AI and ML skills. The semester exams are tough, but it depends on the subject and the teacher.

Placement: During my time in 2024, lots of students got placed like around 94%. The highest salary was 160 LPA, while the average was 24 LPA, and the lowest was 10 LPA. Companies like Apple, Google, and more came for placements. CSE students had good chances for internships. Big names like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and others hired students from our college.

Campus: The campus has everything we need like good Wi-Fi, classrooms, labs, and library. The mess and hostel rooms are okay, it depends on which hall you get. The medical facilities are good too, with a hospital right on campus. Lots of great stuff here to use.

Admission: The teachers here are really smart and know a lot about their subjects. Sometimes they don't pay enough attention to students, so not many people show up to their classes. The course material is outdated and should be updated with more modern methods to keep it up-to-date.

Placement: The placement scene is awesome here almost 80% of us got placed. Last year, over 1400 students landed jobs in 250+ companies. On average, we're making around 17 LPA, with the highest salary being over 2 crores. Many of us lean towards non-core roles like data science, software dev, and product management.

Campus: The course can be challenging, but if you pay attention in class, you can get good grades. The hostels are pretty nice, with decent food in the mess. There are lots of facilities in the hostels, like playgrounds, shops, and late-night food spots. The labs have everything you need for experiments, with all kinds of machinery available.

Admission: The exams here are really good. They cover all the topics nicely and suggest some great books to study. These books are really helpful and enough to do well in the exams.

Placement: Most students found jobs after college. The best package offered was 56 LPA. Half of us got internships too. We learn cool stuff here. The average pay is around 17 LPA. Big companies hire from here, like Microsoft and Google.

Campus: The dorm is awesome! It's super clean and the bathrooms are really nice. The food in the cafeteria is good, but sometimes it's not the best. But hey, it's just cafeteria food. Each of us has our own bed and bathroom, which is cool. And they even send someone to clean our room twice a week.
