Admission: The teachers are super helpful and always look out for us. They actually listen to what we have to say, even if it's a bit out there. They really push us to speak up in class. And guess what? They're all experienced journalists who've done well in their careers. Plus, we also get visits from other teachers sometimes.
Placement: The placement cell is decent. Companies like Times Now, Economics Times, Dean Herald, Reuters, Cogencis, etc., visit the college for hiring. If you work hard but struggle with landing a job, IIJNM has a strong alumni network that can help out.
Campus: The campus is a bit far from the city, so getting there can be a hassle. But don't worry, the college provides cabs for students. The Media Lab has all the equipment you need, and you can use it until 10 p.m. The hostel rooms are big and the bathrooms are clean. Plus, there's a basketball court for fun activities.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff and have tons of real-world experience. We got to learn both practical skills and book smarts. At the start, we had a boot camp that covered all aspects of journalism, which was super helpful. Even after picking our focus, we could still learn about other areas. I went for Print Journalism, but also picked up website building and news production skills. The curriculum is spot on and they make sure it stays current. We had guest speakers all the time, so we got to chat with pros from all over.
Placement: Around half of us from our group of 96 got jobs before our course finished. The pay we got was pretty good for newbies. Students in Broadcast Journalism and Print Journalism were really competitive. Companies like TimesNet and Bloomberg hired students from different streams. Other news companies that came to our college were The New Indian Express. Most of us got roles as trainees or assistant editors. We had a lot of room to learn and grow.
Campus: The facilities for learning were top-notch. We had access to a computer lab, production room, and recording studio all awesome. Our classrooms had projectors and good audio, plus a cool library with books on tons of topics. But the hostel was a letdown. The rooms were bad, with old cupboards that needed replacing. The windows were sketchy, ready to crack any time. And don't get me started on the food yikes! On the bright side, we had sports gear for chill days, though those were rare thanks to our crazy schedule.
