Admission: The teachers here are really experienced and know their stuff. The course plan is great it begins with the basics in the first year and then you can pick your major in the second year. There are lots of options for B.des like fashion design, textile design, and more. It's a good place to learn about design!
Placement: I think what really matters here is our creativity and portfolios, not just grades. Our seniors landed awesome jobs, some even with big names like Sabyasachi. It's all about our skills and talent, not just marks.
Campus: The campus is nice, not top-notch but good. The atmosphere is really great. The library has everything you need, and the books are amazing. Every classroom has air conditioning. They also have medical services available. The food in the cafeteria is decent, and the dorm rooms are well-kept.

Admission: I wasn't happy with some of my subject teachers. They didn't seem to know much and sometimes held grudges. On the other hand, most teachers were really friendly and open to student ideas. The curriculum is good, but it depends on how teachers teach it. Clear explanations are key in every subject, so teachers should focus on that.
Placement: Placements at our college weren't great, but there are good job opportunities off-campus. You can find a job easily with a creative idea. Companies are looking for design graduates like us. They're willing to pay well if you show them what you've got.
Campus: I really like the campus here because it's surrounded by mountains. There are cool spots where students can hang out and classrooms with A/C. It's peaceful and I enjoyed my time here, especially the view of the Dhauladhar range.

Admission: The teachers at our college are super qualified and always ready to help out. They're also really friendly, so we never feel scared to ask them anything. The curriculum has been updated a bunch, which is cool because we get to do industrial visits and research. It's been a great experience!
Placement: The college helps us get good jobs. At first, it can be tough to find a job, but eventually we end up in good places. Salaries start at INR 3.5 lakhs and can go up based on our performance. I'm not sure about the companies that come for placements. Around 80% of students land internships based on their skills. I'm studying to be a print designer or interior designer.
Campus: The roads around here are in bad shape. It's hilly, so we really need better roads. Our classrooms are poorly built. There's not much space for playing sports. The hostel could use some improvements, too. But they do a good job with cleaning. And the food in the mess has improved lately, which is nice.

Admission: The teachers at this college are really good. They mostly have a master's degree from NIFT and more than 5 years of industry experience. They focus more on practical teaching than just theory, which I think is great. There are around 600 students and 60 teachers here. We also go on industrial trips to places like Delhi NCR and Ludhiana. And we can even attend fashion shows at Pragati Maidan with our NIFT admit card. It's cool because sometimes we get to meet people from Bollywood there.
Placement: The college has a clear placement process that all students follow. We apply online through the college website to select companies for interviews. The starting salary is around 3 LPA, going up to 7-8 LPA. With 2 years of work experience, you can get even higher pay. In the textile and garment field, hands-on experience helps you progress. You might start with a lower salary, but after 2 years, you'll be doing great.
Campus: The college has everything we need. There's a resource center for all our academic stuff. The classrooms look really nice. We learn about textile and garments software. The buildings are safe in case of earthquakes. The campus is big, so we can do lots of sports and activities.

Admission: The teachers at our college are really helpful. They teach well using presentations and talking to us. We also get to learn about the industry and local market. There are about 30 students for every teacher. All our subjects are taught by the college faculty, so we don't need guest teachers.
Placement: Placements don't happen in Kangra. They're in Delhi, which is a hassle for us Himachal students. Plus, Delhi folks get first dibs on the jobs. They mostly offer roles like industrial engineers and merchandisers.
Campus: The college's infrastructure is not great. It took them 4 years to build one building, and the rest of the college is still under construction. It's a struggle to walk around because of all the construction. The roads are bad, especially when it rains - students slip and get hurt. They have events like Spectrum and Converge every year. The biggest event is Durga Pooja on campus.

Admission: The teachers aren't great. Some don't know enough, and others are too relaxed. The college is pretty chill. We have to go to big cities like Delhi or Chandigarh for stuff we need. The atmosphere isn't very competitive.
Placement: In 2023, around 85% of us found jobs with an average salary of 6.5LPA. The fashion communication and textile design courses at NIFT Kangra are top-notch. But it's tough to land internships or jobs in Kangra.
Campus: The campus has good facilities in classrooms, labs, and library. The library has lots of design books, but not many for other subjects. There are 2 badminton courts, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. Most classrooms don't have AC, but the campus is nice and clean overall. The hostel rooms are a bit small but well-kept. The food in the mess is pretty good with plenty of choices.

Admission: Most of the teachers are alumni of our college, which is cool. They're qualified and helpful. They teach us using presentations and talking to us. There are about 30 students for every teacher. The faculty gives us industry experience in Delhi. The stuff we learn in our courses is really practical and helpful.
Placement: The placements at our college are pretty good. Our seniors got good placements. The average salary offered was about 4 LPA, with the lowest being 3 LPA and the highest around 7-8 LPA. Placements happen in the Delhi NCR area. At first, the pay might not be high, but if you have more than two years of experience, you can land a nice salary.
Campus: Our college isn't top-notch because it's only been around for 9 years. But we've got big, air-conditioned classrooms and all the basics covered. The food in the canteen is decent, and the hostel rooms are kept up nicely. It's a chill spot, plus you get some awesome hill views on campus!

Admission: The teachers at our college are really great, especially the ones for FD, FC, and TD courses. They're like a mix of teachers, parents, and friends all in one. The courses are practical and help us get ready for jobs. Instead of regular exams, we have a jury system, which is different but cool.
Placement: After graduating from NIFT, you're pretty much guaranteed a job. Your portfolio and skills are key. NIFT's reputation really boosts your chances of getting hired. Unlike other design schools where you pay a lot but struggle to find a job.
Campus: The fashion communication labs have all the Apple devices like keyboards, mice, and screens. It's great for getting hands-on experience. The hostels have an amazing view, too.

Admission: The teachers here are really great compared to other colleges. They teach well and we have a good number of teachers. We get a lot of industry experience because we're close to Delhi. During internships, we have a lot of freedom to explore. It's up to us to take the initiative for everything else.
Placement: Getting a job after college is pretty easy here. The starting salaries are decent. My course gives me chances to go abroad. The lowest salary offered is around Rs. 3.6 lakhs. We end up working in nice cities. The office atmosphere is way better than other places.
Campus: Kangra College is in a hilly area. The college has been around for 9 years. The campus is still being built up. Once everything is done, it will be a top campus in India. They have all the basics covered. But there's no sports grounds yet. The canteen isn't that great either.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome, but the curriculum could use some work. Some courses don't give us enough real-world experience, which is important. Plus, taking extra classes was meant to help, but it just adds more stress.
Placement: Many companies come to NIFT for placements. The placement drives happen in big cities, so students from other campuses need to travel there. It's all about skills and not where you study, so having a strong portfolio is key to landing a good placement.
Campus: The college is improving its quality. The music room, library, and labs are all getting better. They're even building new wings, including a cafe! There are two mess options for the 6 hostel wings, so you can choose the one closest to you.
