About NIT Hamirpur

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, was established in 1986 and declared an Institute of National Importance in 2007. The institute is accredited by the NBA and is overseen by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NIT Hamirpur has a campus size of 320 acres and a NIRF 2025 ranking of 97 in Engineering and a 30 ranking in Architecture.

 

The NIT Hamirpur courses include a wide range of academic programs, such as 11 specializations in the B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MSc, M.Arch, and PhD programs in engineering, architecture, management, and sciences. Most of the programs are offered by national entrance exams like JEE Main (B.Tech and B.Arch), GATE (M.Tech and M.Arch), CAT/MAT (MBA), and IIT JAM (MSc), and have regular intake of UG, PGD, and integrated courses.

NIT Hamirpur Courses and Fees

The NIT Hamirpur has a variety of undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and PhD programs. It offers B.Tech program with the requirement that the candidate should have passed 10+2 with at least 45 percent marks and a valid JEE Main score. The B.Arch course needs 10+2 with 45 percent and JEE Main Paper 2. The NIT Hamirpur admission is primarily entrance exam-based, with national-level tests like JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM, CAT, MAT, and NET playing a central role in determining eligibility and selection.
