Admission: The teachers are all top-notch with PhDs from great places like IITs. They're good at teaching and easy to talk to, whether it's about class stuff or other activities. The course is super practical for the industry. It teaches all the skills a mechanical engineer should know, like using software and hardware. They even throw in humanities and language skills to get us ready for work. The exams are kinda tough, but they test us all along the way. Most students pass, about 9 out of 10.

Placement: The mechanical engineering students got an average salary offer of 13 LPA. Almost all students from my branch took part in the placement exams and most of them got placed. The highest salary was 35 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Companies like Ford Motors, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Amazon, and Flipkart came for placements. For internships, AT&S India, AbInbev, and Aequs Group were the top recruiters. The popular role offered was Project Manager.

Campus: The college, NITK Surathkal, has awesome infrastructure and facilities. The mechanical labs have all the latest tech stuff. Wi-Fi is everywhere in the department. Classrooms have projectors and blackboards. They even have a 3D printer! There are two librariesone for digital books and one for regular books. Both libraries have AC and stay open till midnight. My hostel in the second year is Shivalik. It's a cool, modern building with top-notch tech. Rooms are clean with nice paint. Washrooms are always clean. The food in the mess is great. The canteens are good too. There's a 24/7 healthcare center on campus. We've got five major canteens and a couple of cafes. The sports facilities here are top-notch. Our sports complex is huge and has the best equipment for every sport.

Admission: The teachers really know their stuff here. The course content is practical, but doing internships is key to gaining real-world experience and boosting your resume. Exams aren't too tough, mostly just moderate. Throughout the semester, we have two quizzes, a midsem, an endsem, and a few assignments for certain subjects.

Placement: The job placement for B.Tech students is awesome 93% of students get placed. Keeping your CGPA above 7 is key. People work hard and get around 20 LPA packages. One of my seniors even got a 55 LPA package! Internships start in the 3rd year, and lots of folks get pre-placement offers. On average, packages are about 12 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Texas, and Uber come for internships at NITK. 90% of interns end up getting placed based on their performance. Even branches like Civil and Mechanical get pre-placement offers from companies like ExxonMobil. It's a great opportunity for everyone!

Campus: The civil department buildings are pretty old. But the hostel rooms are great, big, and well-kept. In the first year, we have set block timings. The mess food isn't amazing, just like other hostels we've seen. Registration happens after admission, and seniors help us out with that.

Admission: The course content is pretty dull and old-fashioned for us engineering students in India. However, the exams are fair with good questions, and they even give 2 marks for writing an index, which is nice. It really helps out if you're struggling to pass. If you put in some effort, it's not too hard to get a decent grade. The teachers are alright, at least in my opinion.

Placement: The placements here are pretty good. They start in February and go on till April to May. I'm happy to see top companies like Google coming to recruit. It's awesome that my seniors got placed in companies like Infosys and Grow. Plus, some of our alumni have even started famous unicorn companies.

Campus: I really liked the hostel because it had nice views from the two beds and tables. The night canteen was good too. You gotta try the Shawarma even if you're vegetarian. The classrooms in the college are clean and there are no CCTV cameras, so it's easy to nap or skip class.

Admission: The teachers here know their stuff and are pretty helpful overall. Some are better than others, but that's normal. The courses are set up well and get you ready for a job. Exams are tough, with questions that can be kinda hard.

Placement: In mechanical engineering, lots of students (around half or sometimes even more) get jobs every year. Big companies like GAIL, HPCL, BPCL, BHEL, and MRPL hire students from our department. Also, cool companies like Reliance, Tata, Samsung, and Bajaj pick students from here. And for internships, we have Caterpillar, JSW Steel, and Rather Energy visiting our department.

Campus: The hostel is nice, but the food in the mess is just okay. The sports and medical facilities are good. I like the food at the night canteen. But, the football ground is not in good shape, so it's risky to play there. On the bright side, the indoor games are great. These are just my thoughts on things here.

Admission: The teachers are awesome! They're super friendly and always ready to help. It feels like they really care about us. They know their stuff and teach really well. The course curriculum is spot on for getting us ready for future jobs in our field. I'm so glad to have such great teachers and a relevant curriculum. Love it!

Placement: Around 80% of students found jobs after graduating. The highest salary was 35 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and the average was 10 LPA. Big companies like L&T, Mahindra, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle hire students. About 70% of students also got internships. Job roles include manager, tech head, and regular employee positions.

Campus: The facilities and infrastructure here are top-notch. The environment, food, rooms, water, and Wi-Fi are all great. The library they have is awesome. The classrooms are always clean and well-kept. The hostel facilities are really good too, with clean and hygienic rooms.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff well. They teach at a high level and have a lot of knowledge. The teaching is good, but how much you learn depends on how you approach it. The course content is practical and prepares us well for exams. We have classes and clubs to keep us engaged. Exams are fair - not too hard, not too easy. If we pay attention in class and study before exams, we can do well. The passing rate for all subjects is around 20-30%.

Placement: I graduated from National Institute of Technology Karnataka Suratkal. Last year, 96.42% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary offered was 54.75 Lacs per year, while the average was 15 LPA. Samsung and Tata Communications were the top companies hiring us. Around 60-70% of students got internships, especially at Qualcomm and Bharat Electronics. The popular roles were in communication and VLSI.

Campus: The campus is huge with 280 acres of land and has lots of different facilities. We've got two libraries - a central one and an e-library. There's Wi-Fi and fast internet everywhere on campus. The food in the mess is decent quality but the taste is just okay. We can go to the health care center from 9 am to 10 pm if we need to see a doctor. For sports, we have big grounds and separate courts for different games. It's pretty cool!

Admission: The teachers are okay. But in engineering, you mostly learn by yourself, so it's not a big deal. The electrical exams are pretty simple. I don't get why people say it's the hardest branch. You can get a good grade by cramming the night before. I feel like what we learn isn't super practical for real-world jobs. Gotta do some extra studying on your own.

Placement: I'm in electrical and electronics. Students from my branch can go for core or software jobs, but core placements are tough. Most of us aim for software roles. Almost every company recruits from our branch. Around 80-90% of us get placed, which is great.

Campus: The labs are pretty good, but the equipment is kind of old. The Wi-Fi is fast and available 24/7, which is awesome. We have 2 libraries one closes at 5:30 and the other at midnight. Both are great places to study. They also have AC, which is a plus.

Admission: The teachers here are really smart, but sometimes they struggle with teaching. The stuff we learn is good and gets us ready for jobs in the industry. Most of us like software stuff more. The exams are tough, but if you study hard, you can pass. Lots of people usually pass, about 95% of us.

Placement: The job scene for mechanical engineering is pretty good here. About 85% of students get placed, which is decent. The highest salary offered is 36 lakhs per annum, while the lowest is 6 lakhs per annum. On average, students get around 12 lakhs per annum. Companies like Ola, Uber, Flipkart, and Amazon come for placements. If you do well, around 70% of students get internships. Many students end up going into software jobs instead of sticking to mechanical engineering.

Campus: The campus has good infrastructure with new buildings coming up. Our department is in an old building, but Wi-Fi is available. The classrooms and tables are old but still in good condition. The library is well-equipped with lots of books. The hostel looks new, but the food in the mess isn't great sometimes it's hard to eat. There's a medical center in the middle of campus near the boys' and girls' hostels. The sports complex has all kinds of games and a gym.

Admission: The professors here are really cool. They teach us everything about AI in a special course called PSC. It's all about using AI tools, which is super helpful. The semesters can be a bit tough since it's a top college. The pass percentage for each semester is low at just 20%, which means you need 20 marks per subject to pass.

Placement: In the AI branch, most students (around 90%) get campus placements. The rest (about 10%) go for Masters, Research, or start their own thing through college tech clubs. The highest salary offered in 2022-2023 is 55.25 Lakh, while the lowest is around 7 Lakh. On average, students make about 27.5 Lakh, which is pretty good for everyone. Companies like MRPL, GOOGLE, and Accenture come for recruiting. Internships are usually short-term, lasting 1 to 2 months. Not many students do internships in their 2nd or 3rd year since they're busy with college projects. The main roles offered are AI Engineer, Full Stack Developer, and AI Tools Developer.

Campus: The Wi-Fi here is awesome, we get super fast internet with LAN cables! The classrooms and libraries are always clean and quiet. This college is the best place to study. The hostel rooms are decent, and the food keeps improving. No need to stress about anything here.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome, but there are a few tough ones too. I think that's pretty normal in any college. The courses are interesting, and exams are well-organized. Results come out quickly, which is nice.

Placement: The placements are pretty good here. They're better than most NITs (except Trichy) and the newer IITs. If you've got skills, you'll definitely have lots of chances. But for core branches, it's not as good as the old IITs. Almost every company is open to students from any branch. Even big companies like Oracle and Wells Fargo hire from lower branches.

Campus: The hostel facilities are not great. We often face water shortages. It takes about a week to fix any issues in the hostel. There are problems with water and electricity sometimes. Living conditions are pretty bad, especially the mess. One time, we found a piece of a cooking pot and a bug in our food.
