Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SVIMS Wadala) was started by the National Kannada Education Society (NKES), which has been in education for over 80 years. SVIMS offers a 2-year full-time MMS (Master of Management Studies) program. This program is approved by AICTE and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. Admissions are based on merit and entrance exams, such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, NMAT, SNAP and SMAT.

The results are expected to be declared in the first week of January 2026. XAT 2026 application form was released on 10 July, 2025. XAT 2026 exam is scheduled on 4 January 2026. Eligible candidates can register themselves via online mode, as there is no offline method provided. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur at the University Level. XLRI Jamshedpur organises XAT exam once in every year via online (CBT) mode.
