SIBM Pune placements have once again reinforced the institute’s standing among the top B-schools in the country. The 2024 final placement season for the MBA batch of 2022–24 achieved a 100% placement rate, with all participating students securing offers across diverse industries. This year, 109 recruiters, including 54 new ones, extended opportunities across domains such as Automotive & Manufacturing, BFSI, FMCG, Consulting, and IT/E-Commerce. The highest package offered touched INR 53.58 LPA, while the average package stood at an impressive INR 28.83 LPA. Top recruiters included Accenture, Airtel, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, Cipla, Godrej, ITC, Marico, Reliance, and Zomato.

In the Summer Internship Placements for the 2024-26 batch, SIBM Pune also recorded a 100% placement rate. Over 90 companies participated, spanning key sectors such as FMCG/FMCD, Automotive & Manufacturing, BFSI, Healthcare, IT/Consulting, and Media & Telecom. The highest stipend offered was INR 4.80 lakh for two months, with an average stipend of INR 3.12 lakh. Prestigious recruiters such as Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, Colgate-Palmolive, HUL, ITC, JPMorgan, Marico, Pidilite, P&G, and Reliance continued their strong association with the institute.

The salary trends settled well in all levels during the 2024 placement season in SIMB Pune. The average annual salaries of the top 10 percent, the top 25 percent and- the top 50 percent of the batch are INR 38.35 LPA, INR 35.03 LPA, and INR 32.94 LPA respectively. The highest package jumped from INR 49.00 LPA in 2023 to INR 53.58 LPA in 2024, while the average CTC saw an uptick from INR 28.16 LPA to INR 28.83 LPA. The recruitment drive by the Summer Internship Recruitment Programme (SIRP) of the MBA Batch of 2024-26 was completed successfully with great placement. More than 90 organizations emanated covering a wide range of sectors, FMCG/FMCD being number one, Automotive & Manufacturing, BFSI, Healthcare, IT/Consulting and Media/Telecom being included in it.

The highest stipend stood at INR 4.80 lakh for two months, while the average stipend was INR 3.12 lakh and the median stipend was INR 3.00 lakh. Sector-wise distribution of internships was led by FMCG/FMCD at 27%, followed by IT/E-Commerce/Consulting at 24%, BFSI at 16%, Automotive & Manufacturing at 15%, Media/Telecommunication at 9%, and Others at 9%. This spread reflects the broad appeal of SIBM Pune’s talent across industries.

Specialization-wise, Marketing saw the highest stipend at INR 4.50 lakh with an average of INR 3.18 lakh. Finance recorded INR 4.00 lakh as the highest and INR 2.20 lakh average stipend. Human Resources led in average stipend at INR 3.50 lakh with a highest of INR 4.80 lakh, while Operations saw INR 4.00 lakh as the highest and INR 2.65 lakh average stipend.

On the gender-wise stipend distribution, the average stipend was INR 3.41 lakh in the case of male candidates, whereas the female candidates were offered INR 2.72 lakh. The male students had a higher salary of INR 4.51 lakh as compared to INR 4.32 lakh among female students.
