University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, is a management school, offering MBA, Executive MBA, M.Com, and PhD programs, among others, admission to which is based on CAT scores, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI). The cutoff for admission in the General category is 85%. Reserved categories have a different admission cutoff (NC-OBC - 83%, EWS - 82%, SC - 80%, ST - 78%, and PwD - 75%).

UBS Chandigarh PG Admission 2025

University Business School (UBS) at Panjab University, located in Chandigarh, has a two-year MBA program that specifically focuses on five different fields: General Management, Human Resource, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Business Data Analytics. After a candidate has been accepted based on the CAT exam, he/she will participate in a Group Discussion and then a Personal Interview to solidify acceptance into the program. UBS Chandigarh offers a two-year MBA program for 64 students, which will also accommodate 6 NRI/Ward of NRI candidates and 16 Foreign National students. The tuition fee per year is INR 23,945 (2024-25 fee has not been revised). Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 50% marks or must obtain the requisite marks and professional experience in the professional exams of CA, ICWA, CS, or AMIE. Admission will be based on 85% CAT exam scores, 7.5% Group Discussion, and 7.5% Personal Interview. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates.

 

UBS Chandigarh PhD Admission 2025

The program of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at UBS Chandigarh will be of a total duration of 3 years (36 months) with a total of 27 seats. Fees for the program are INR 38,610 exclusive of migration fees; INR 1000 in additional fees will be charged for postgraduate students from other universities as well. For eligibility, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks for general category candidates and 50% in case of reserved categories. This is subject to UGC-NET, UGC NET-JRF, GATE, GPAT or a few other reputable national-level scholarships. The fee structure for courses may periodically change according to the regulations of Panjab University.

 

UBS Chandigarh Application Process 2025

University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, has a formal process for admission to its MBA and PhD programmes. The eligible candidates must complete the following procedure to apply successfully:

  • Visit the UBS Chandigarh and register online to receive a Login ID and Password through your email.
  • Pay non-refundable registration fees online (INR 3,250 for General; INR 1,625 for SC / ST / PwD) before the deadline.
  • Upload scanned photographs, signatures and academic details, and lastly, all sections must be locked as they cannot be edited post-submission.
  • Print the application form and send it along with the necessary documents to UBS Chandigarh by speed post/registered post or in person.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). In the end, candidates will be selected based on CAT Score (85%), GD (7.5%) and PI (7.5%). The offer letter will be sent to the selected candidates.
