VMOU Admission 2025: Courses, Eligibility & Application Process

VMOU offers admission to various courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including diploma and certification programs in multiple disciplines. The college also offers B.Ed courses. Admission into the college is mostly based on CAT, MAT, CMAT, UGC-NET, VMOU (college-based) entrance exams, etc, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI).

Selected candidates must provide the necessary documents like Class 10, 12 and graduation pass certificates, a leaving certificate, Aadhaar card, a passport-sized photo, scanned signature, work experience certificates (if applicable), domicile certificate (if applicable), category certificate (if applicable), physically handicapped certificate (if applicable), income certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate and character certificate. Applicants must also submit their entrance exam scorecards (CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc).

The VMOU Kota MBA fee is INR 27,200. Additionally, VMOU offers scholarships for students from different backgrounds. These include the Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child, which offers INR 36,200 per year, and the PG Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders, which gives INR 3,100 per month. SC/ST students enrolled in professional courses can get INR 3,000 per month plus a yearly contingency amount. The Ishan Uday Scheme provides financial support to students from North-East India, ranging from INR 5,400 to 7,800 per month.

CAT 2025 registration started on August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will close on September 13, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Admit cards will be available for download from 5 November to 30 November 2025. The CAT 2025 exam is scheduled for 30 November 2025, and the results are likely to be announced in the first week of January 2026. The CAT application fee has been revised to INR 2,600 for General category candidates and INR 1,300 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

At the undergraduate level, the B.A program costs between INR 7,500 and INR 8,400. For postgraduate studies, M.A. courses in 13 specialisations range from INR 6,800 to INR 7,300, and M.Com is offered at INR 7,300. The MBA course has a fee of INR 27,200. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian university with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA to be eligible for VMOU Kota admission.

The following are the steps to apply to Vardhman Mahaveer Open University Kota:

• Visit the official VMOU Kota website (https://vmou.ac.in/) to check the eligibility criteria for each course.
• Create an account using your contact number and email. Verify it via OTP
• Log in, choose the desired course, and complete the online form with personal, educational, and other information
• Upload scanned copies of passport-size photograph, signature, and required certificates like academic records, ID proof, category/SC-ST/OBC/EWS certificates, etc.
• The application fee is generally INR 100 for most programs and INR 500–1,000 for B.Ed or MBA, payable via net banking, credit/debit card, UPI, or e-Mitra kiosk.
• After payment, submit the form and download the confirmation/receipt and admission print-out for future reference.
• Download the admission order or print the completed form. Keep originals of certificates for later verification at regional centres

How to Register:

• Visit the official CAT website to register online.
• Use a valid and unique email ID and mobile number to start the process.
• After registering, you’ll receive a User ID and Password to log in and fill the application form.

Key Guidelines:

• You can complete the form in multiple sessions — your progress will be saved automatically.
• Review all details carefully before submitting the application fee. No changes are allowed after payment.
• Incorrect or incomplete forms may be rejected.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates must upload valid certificates. Category changes cannot be made after registration.
• A short correction window will be available after registration closes for limited time only.

CAT 2025 Registration Fee

• The registration fee for CAT 2025 must be paid online only.
• Candidates can choose from SBI ePay or BillDesk payment gateways.
• The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• The application fee is required to be paid only once, regardless of the number of IIMs or other institutions candidates are applying to.

• Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’: Begin by selecting the New Registration option.
• Generate OTP: Enter basic details to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification.
• Complete Basic Registration: Fill in the Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Mobile Number. Ensure all details are accurate — these cannot be edited later.
• Login to Complete the Application: Use the provided User ID and Password to log in and access the application form.
