ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility: Age Limit, Attempts, Reservation

The ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility Criteria will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the official brochure. To register for the ICAR AIEEA 2025 exam, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria established by the governing body. As per the ICAR AIEEA 2025 eligibility criteria, a candidate must be an Indian national and fulfill specific age, academic, and qualification requirements for UG, PG, and PhD programs. For undergraduate courses (UG), candidates must have completed 10+2 with relevant subjects and be at least 16 years old as of August 31, 2025, with no upper age limit. 

For postgraduate programs (PG), candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field and be at least 19 years old as of August 31, 2025. For PhD programs, candidates must have a master's degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) and must be at least 21 years old as of August 31, 2025.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate (UG) Courses

• Age Limit: Candidates should have completed 16 years of age as of August 31, 2025.
• Educational Qualification: Applicants should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. The specific subject requirements depend on the chosen course:
• B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.F.Sc, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB) or Inter-Agriculture.
• B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Food Technology): Candidates should have studied PCM or PCMB.
• B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture: Candidates must have studied PCB or PCM or PCMB.
• B.Tech (Biotechnology): Candidates should have studied PCM or PCB or PCMB.
• Minimum Marks: General, OBC, and UPS category candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination, while SC, ST, and PC category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate (PG) Courses

• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 19 years old as of 31st August 2025.
• Educational Qualification: Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field under the patterns of 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), 10+2+4, or 10+6 years. Those with a 10+2+3 bachelor's degree can apply for specific institutions like IARI Pusa and NDRI Karnal.
• Minimum Marks: General, OBC, and UPS category candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in their qualifying degree, whereas SC, ST, and PC category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks.
• Additional Requirements for M.V.Sc: Candidates should have completed their B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree along with the mandatory internship before the date of admission.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Reservation Policy

ICAR follows the reservation policy as per the Government of India norms, providing relaxation in age, marks, and seats for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC category.
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are allocated to ST candidates.
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) – Non-Creamy Layer: 27% of seats are reserved for OBC-NCL candidates.
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of seats are reserved for candidates from the EWS category.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 5% of seats are reserved horizontally across all categories for candidates with benchmark disabilities, as defined under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
• Domicile Restrictions: Not more than 40% of candidates from any one state are admitted to any agricultural university or subject under a particular category.
