West Bengal ANM/GNM Nursing 2025 Application, Eligibility, Dates, & Admission Process

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the WB ANM/GNM 2025 entrance test for admission to the Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery programme. It will be held in offline mode in August 2025. The WB ANM/GNM 2025 application procedure will start in March 2025. After the registration procedure is completed, WBJEEB will provide applicants with the option to correct their applications. The WB ANM/GNM 2025 admit card will be made available around 10 days before the exam date. About West Bengal ANM Nursing 2025

Applicants for admission to WB ANM programs will be chosen based on an entrance exam and a counselling process. The ANM (R) course lasts two years. The Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme is a diploma-level study. Until last year, the West Bengal Health & Family Welfare Department was in charge of organising the exams, and admissions will be provided depending on the merit of the students who passed the previous exam. Beginning with the WB ANM 2025 session, WBJEEB will take over and administer the entrance exam for admission to the West Bengal ANM Nursing course. ANM courses have 500 seats (263 reserved and 237 unreserved) spread among West Bengal's nursing institutes.

West Bengal's ANM Eligibility 2025

Find out the eligibility requirements for ANM admission below. All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria based on the previous year's results. The eligibility requirements for each course are mentioned below.

• Only female applicants can apply.
• The age range is 17 to 30 years as on December 31st of the entrance year.
• Citizenship- The applicant must be an Indian citizen who has lived continuously in the Gramme Panchayat area in the relevant West Bengal district for at least 5 years prior to the application submission deadline.
• Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate in Bengali or Nepalese.
• Passing the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary, class 12 examination, the Vocational Agricultural Examination, and the Vocational Health Care Science Examination are among the educational requirements. In addition, applicants must have received at least 40% in English and 40% overall.

West Bengal ANM 2025 Examination Pattern

The WB ANM 2025 entrance test will be conducted online in August 2025. There will be sixty-five (65) questions in the report. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options. The WB ANM 2025 question paper will last one hour and thirty minutes to complete. Except for the English and logical thinking parts, all other questions will be presented in both English and Bengali languages.

Marking Scheme: Each correct answer awards 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
