B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) is an undergraduate academic degree that takes four years to complete and is conferred after finishing a full-time course in engineering, usually approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in India.

BTech in Delhi Eligibility Criteria

BTech IIT Delhi Admission Process 2025

The admission process for BTech in Delhi is almost similar to all the top-ranked BTech colleges in Delhi. For reference, the admission process at IIT Delhi for BTech courses is given below:

 

Step 1: Register and appear in the JEE Main entrance exam. JEE Advanced is open to every candidate in the top 2.5 lakh in the ranking for JEE Main exam.

 

Step 2: Visit the official site; enroll in JEE Advanced by submitting necessary information, uploading the necessary documents and save the application fee online. Get the admit card and attend the exam with the objective to get a high rank.

 

Step 3: Register to JoSAA counselling after JEE Advanced results. Lock your institute and branch preferences including IIT Delhi and your favorite BTech stream.

 

Step 4: Allocation of seats happens according to your preferences and rank in JEE Advanced. In case a seat is offered at IIT Delhi, the seat should be accepted by paying the seat acceptance fee online and uploading the mandatory documents to verify.

 

Step 5: Put up original documents and self-attested copies (JEE Advanced scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), seat allotment letter, fee receipt and a valid photo ID). Report physically at IIT Delhi head office to complete final formalities of joining and verification.

 

Step 6: Pay an institute fee in accordance with the IIT Delhi policy. Upon paying the fee and other formalities are made, you are confirmed to be admitted and a letter of confirmation of admission is given.

 

Step 7: Undergo orientation and induction courses at IIT Delhi after which normal BTech classes take place as per the academic schedule.
