Admission Process for BTech courses in West Bengal

The admission process for enrolling into engineering colleges in West Bengal is almost similar in all the colleges. The BTech colleges in West Bengal follow a similar pattern for granting admission to students interested in engineering courses, all need to sit for an entrance exam and after qualifying it, they need to go for a counselling round. Step 1: You must register for the JEE Main exam on the NTA website by providing the necessary details. Then appear in the exam on the scheduled date and time.

Step 2: Wait for the results of JEE Mains and once results are out, check if qualified or not. If qualified, register for the JEE Advanced examination on the NTA website in the same way as done for JEE Main.

Step 6: IIT Kharagpur will release a merit-list of shortlisted students who are selected. This depends on the availability of seats in a particular branch and number of students applied for that course. Candidates with higher ranks get more priority.

Step 7: After getting shortlisted, you will have to appear on the college campus for document verification.

Step 8: After the documents are verified, you will be granted admission. After this you will have to pay the admission fee to book your seat in the course.

Step 9: The college will verify the payment status and then provide a final admission letter, after which you will be able to start your new academic journey when the new session begins.
