BOT Admission 2025 varies from university to university. However, it depends on the college whether they offer direct admission or opt for an entrance exam. The admission process is quite similar in most of the colleges for admission to BOT course. Here, we are providing the admission process for the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) for your reference.

  • Eligibility Criteria- The merit list is prepared based on 50% weightage given to MET score and 50% weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examinations (Physics + Chemistry + Biology + English) Score. 
  • Entrance Examination-  Students interested in BOT admission in MCHP have to apply for the MET (Manipal Entrance Test) to secure their seat.
  • Application- Candidates can apply through the college's official website or the admission portal provided. Candidates need to submit their qualification data like Class 10+2 mark sheet, entrance exam score, passport-size photograph, Aadhar card, and others.
  • Merit List- The college releases its list of selected candidates. Once the students have qualified in the MET, they need to submit the admission fees. 

Again, the college will issue the provisional admission order. The student is required to submit the final results, after which they receive the admission order from the college.

The eligibility criteria for a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy includes the following factors,

  • Educational qualification- Candidates applying for BOT must have completed their Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board.
  • Mandatory Subjects- Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects in Class 12. 
  • Minimum required marks: An aggregate of 50% or higher is required. Universities like LPU look for a higher percentage, around the aggregate in PCB, to ensure that only the most academically proficient students are admitted.
  • Entrance Examination- After being eligible for the course, the candidate needs to pass the entrance exams conducted by colleges like LPU- LPUNEST, Manipal College of Health Professions- MET, and IHS- IMAT.
