BSc in India is available in both government and private colleges and there is a great difference in terms of the course fees and the hostel fees. Government colleges, especially in Delhi, like Hindu College, Miranda College, and Hansraj College, are highly affordable colleges, where the course fees are between INR 18,000 to INR 50,000. The B.Sc. fees of even top colleges such as Lady Shri Ram College and Madras Christian College are affordable. Fees to stay in hostels in such colleges can vary between INR 60,000 to INR 1,20,000 per year, which can affect the overall cost of living of the outstation students.

On the other hand, BSc Course fees in private universities are usually higher. Manipal Academy of Higher Education, VIT, and KIIT include course fees of INR 4,00,000 to INR 6,50,000 and hostel fees of up to INR 1,50,000 per annum. Bachelor of Science fee shows a wide spread in its range in States such as Tamil Nadu and Punjab-Loyola and MCC have fairly low fees at around INR 60,000, but at Stella Maris and Panjab University, they surpass INR 2,00,000.
