AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: NLU Delhi has released the AILET Official Notification 2026 on June 17, 2025. The AILET 2026 Registration Process is set to begin from August 07, 2025, onwards. Before registration, candidates need to meet the AILET 2026 Eligibility criteria, which include age limit, academic qualification, and minimum marks. As for basic eligibility, candidates must’ve passed Class 10+2 for B.A.LL.B. (Hons), a Bachelor’s degree for LLM, and a Master’s Degree for Ph.D. Program. AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria are the basic requirements that candidates must fulfil to apply for law courses offered by NLU Delhi and take the AILET exam. AILET 2026 Eligibility for Ph.D

To apply for a PhD in Law at NLU Delhi, candidates must have completed an LLM or an equivalent postgraduate law degree. They must have scored at least 55% marks if in the General category, and 50% marks if they belong to SC/ST/PwD. AILET 2026 Age Limit

There is no upper or lower age limit to appear for AILET 2026 for any of the law programs offered by NLU Delhi. These programs include BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD programs. Candidates of all age groups who meet the academic criteria can apply and take the AILET 2026 exam. Through the All India Law Entrance Test, candidates will be able to get admission in BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD law programs at NLU Delhi.

 

AILET 2026 Minimum Marks

Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in their last qualifying exam. For BA LLB, the minimum is 45% marks (General/OBC) and 40% marks (SC/ST/PwD). For LLM and Joint Masters/IP, it is 50% for General and 45% for reserved categories. For PhD, General category candidates need 55% marks, and SC/ST/PwD candidates require 50% marks. AILET 2026 Reservation Criteria

NLU Delhi follows a reservation policy for different categories as per government norms. Reserved seats are available for SC, ST, PwD, Jammu & Kashmir residents, Kashmiri Migrants, and Foreign Nationals. Candidates claiming reservation must provide valid documents during counselling. AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Exemption

Some categories of candidates are exempted from appearing for the AILET 2026 exam. These include Foreign Nationals, OCI, and PIO cardholders. For BA LLB, they must have scored at least 65% marks in Class 12. For LLM and PhD, they need to fulfil academic qualifications, but are not required to take the entrance test.
