MAH HM CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

• The candidate must be an Indian National.

Educational Qualification

For BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

• The candidate must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate.
• Candidates appearing for the 12th standard or equivalent examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply.

For MHMCT (Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

• The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) or its equivalent from a recognised university.
• A minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying degree is required.

Age Limit

• There is no upper age limit for MAH HM CET 2026.

Domicile

• Candidates must satisfy the domicile requirements as per the government of Maharashtra for specific category-based reservations.
• Non-domicile candidates can also apply, but will fall under the All India category for seat allotment.

Subject Requirement

• For the BHMCT program, candidates must have studied any stream in the 12th standard (Arts, Commerce, or Science).
• For the MHMCT program, candidates should have a background in Hotel Management or a related field.

Reservation

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, etc.) must provide the necessary certificates as per Maharashtra state guidelines to avail of relaxation in eligibility.

MAH HM CET 2026 Application Form: Documents Required

As per the official guidelines from the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, the following documents are required for the MAH HM CET 2026 Registration:

Photograph Specifications

• Recent colour photograph (2-inch x 2-inch) covering 80% of the face.
• Size: Minimum 100 KB to Maximum 5 MB.
• Format: JPEG.
• Background: Plain light-colored or white.
• Expression: Neutral, with eyes open.
• Head coverings are not permitted except for religious reasons, but facial features must be clearly visible.

Identity Proof

• Valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).
• Ration Card and Learning Driving License are not valid ID proofs.

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
• Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate are also required at the time of document verification.

Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

• For Maharashtra state candidates to establish residency.

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)

• For OBC, VJNT, SBC, and SEBC candidates, to be submitted during document verification.

Persons with Disability (PWD) Certificate (if applicable)
